Dr. Dabbous is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the IPR Group of Companies and has served in this position since its establishment in 1981. He is responsible for the management and administration of corporate operations, project management and technical research evaluations. Dr. Dabbous grew and diversified the company from a specialized consulting firm and field services division to a full cycle international E&P company with operations in four different continents. Dr. Dabbous has over 40 years experience in the petroleum industry, worldwide, with extensive experience in reservoir management and simulation for optimum oilfield development using conventional and enhanced oil recovery technology. Dr. Dabbous, an authority on Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), received his Master’s and Doctorate in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a U.S. patent on “Miscible Drive in Heterogeneous Reservoirs” and has authored several pioneering technical research papers. Dr. Dabbous presides over several oil and gas exploration and production companies in the Middle East, North and South America and Asia, in partnership with foreign governments and major international oil and gas and energy corporations.
